How this is worked out

Expired unused package value = the portion of package value that runs past its validity without sessions being delivered, spread across the year. Parents rarely complain, so nobody notices.

Unbilled sessions = sessions that happened but never made it onto an invoice. Usually reschedules, walk-in extras and sessions covered by a substitute therapist.

Lapsed renewals = packages that finished and were never followed up. Counted at full package value because that is what walked out of the door.

These are estimates from your own inputs, not a measurement. The point is the order of magnitude — for most centres it lands well above what they expected.
